Hi! My name is Ava Hershberg, I am a rising Sophomore majoring in Politics and International Affairs and Business on the International Track. I am from South Burlington Vermont but recently moved to Arrington Tennesse. I live in Tennessee with my older brother, parents and my dog. Some things I enjoy are watching and playing hockey, reading, traveling and trying new foods. After Furman I plan to either work for the CIA or the United Nations. I chose this MayX because I have always loved math and solving puzzles. I feel like this is the perfect MayX to explore this passion of mine in an academic setting. I also want to end up in Europe at some point in my life, so I am extremely excited to explore London. I am looking forward to visiting the Churchill War Rooms, as a politics major this is something very interesting to me. Another thing I am looking forward to is the Imperial War Museum and seeing war artifacts. Lastly, I am looking forward to learning more about codebreaking and the Enigma Machine.
In London I can't wait to try all the diverse food in places like Camden Market, Borough Market and Harrods. Also, I am looking forward to visiting sites such as Buckingham Palace. Seeing a show at the Globe Theatre is also something that interests me. Overall, I am excited for this MayX and getting to know everyone on the trip.
