Hannah Paulson

Hi I am Hannah Paulson. I am a sophomore Mathematics and Philosophy major from Niceville, Florida. I first found this May X after I attended Furman Engaged 2024. From the presentations there I quickly discovered that this May X was an experience that I wanted to be apart of. In this class I am looking forward to participating in my first real escape room, learning more about Alan Turing's role in breaking the Enigma in World War II, and visiting the White Cliffs of Dover. I recently took a Modern European History class at Furman which started at the French Revolution and went through the Cold War. My favorite topic I learned about during this class was World War II. Now I get the chance to learn how codebreaking and cryptology were used to help win the war for the Allies. I have never studied cryptology, much less deciphered a coded text before, so I am excited to learn more about it. That said, I cannot wait to step foot in London and explore what it has to show me.
